Exceptional Supports Personal In-Home Caregiver

Job Summary
1:1 in-home caregiver role providing consistent behavioral and daily living support for an adult in their home and community. Responsibilities include implementing the Behavioral Support Plan (BSP), de-escalation techniques, supervision, personal hygiene, mobility assistance, meal preparation, household tasks, medication administration per agency policy, transportation to appointments, maintaining structured routines, detailed behavior documentation, incident reports, and attendance at CPR/First Aid and behavioral trainings. Requires high school diploma/GED, on-line computer training ability, 6-12 months human services experience preferred, valid driver’s license, and ability to work a flexible schedule including overnights, weekends, and holidays. Emphasis on trauma-informed and behavior-based support; strong observational, de-escalation, and boundary-maintenance skills; capable of lifting/positioning clients as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or GED
- Extensive on-the-job training
- Capable of On-line Computer training
- 6-12 months experience in the human services field preferred
- A caring attitude with a dedication to assisting others
- Successfully pass background checks and drug screening
- Experience with severe autism or behavioral support is strongly preferred
