Job Summary
Meets and instructs assigned classes in the location and at the times designated. Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students. Creates a conducive classroom environment and maintains order. Prepares for classes with written evidence of preparation upon request. Uses a variety of instructional techniques and media aligned with the district’s goals. Assesses student progress regularly and provides reports. Maintains records as required by law and district policy. Plans and supervises teacher aide(s) and volunteers, supports CORE Literacy initiatives and WOW, and participates in staff activities. Position is for 190 school days with an annual salary in the listed range. Exempt status.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate, license, or other legal credential required
- Degree(s) required in area of major study
- Reports To: Person designated by the Board or the superintendent
- Supervises: Staff members designated by the Board or the superintendent
