Job Summary
Plan, organize, and present instruction and instructional environments to help students learn subject matter and skills contributing to their educational and social development. Coordinate and direct activities of teacher assistants; ensure lessons begin promptly, maintain student on-task behavior, and deliver instruction with clear objectives. Apply classroom-management procedures, monitor student progress, provide timely feedback, and align instructional plans with school-wide goals. Demonstrates ability to work with students in an inclusive setting; supports diverse learner needs and maintains orderly environments. Requires Bachelor’s Degree in education or related area and NC licensure; FLSA Exempt. Location: Hertford, North Carolina. This role emphasizes instructional planning, monitoring, feedback, and collaboration within an inclusive educational program.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in education or related area
- licensure as a teacher by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction
- ability to manage instructional time and student behavior
- ability to monitor student performance and provide feedback
- willingness to perform non-instructional duties as assigned
- ability to use various classroom tools and adapt instruction to inclusive settings
