Job Summary
Exceptional Children’s Behavior Coach (Teacher) provides students with exceptional needs academic and behavior support per IEPs, conducts Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and designs, implements, and monitors individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs); offers extensive on-site coaching to educators in classroom management and positive behavior supports; supports development and update of IEPs using assessment data; promotes high expectations and skills for success beyond high school; collaborates with families and school staff to foster a positive learning environment; utilizes technology to maximize student learning and measures progress with diverse assessment tools.
Required Qualifications
- Current NC Professional Educator’s License containing one or more areas of special education
- Baccalaureate degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a concentration in education or a related field
- At least 1 year of experience teaching students with special needs
- Possession of a valid NC driver’s license
