Exceptional Children Bus Monitor

Assist exceptional students in utilizing equipment on the bus and in entering/exiting; secure wheelchairs, seat belts, and other safety devices; restrain students per IEP/504 Plan; seat students in assigned locations; monitor behavior from a strategic bus position; diffuse student conflicts using approved training; report problems to the designated authority; assist the bus driver with backing and with evacuation plan design/implementation; know the bus route; be proactive, a team player, safe, and timely; maintain confidentiality of student information; perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/principal/superintendent.
