Exceptional Children Bus Monitor

Assist exceptional students on the bus and during entry/exit; secure wheelchairs, seat belts, and other safety devices; restrain students as required by IEP/504; seat students in assigned locations; monitor student behavior from a strategic location on the bus; diffuse conflicts using approved training; report problems to the designated authority; assist the bus driver with backing and with evacuation planning; know the bus route; take initiative and be a team player; maintain confidentiality of student information; observe schedule and safety protocols; perform other duties as assigned by supervisor, principal, and/or superintendent.
