Job Summary
Orthopaedic Surgeon sought in Freeport, IL to join Mercyhealth System’s regional orthopedics team. Role involves collaboration with 3 Orthopedic Surgeons and a multidisciplinary team to support total joint procedures, with same-day discharges when appropriate. Schedule is 4 days/week of direct patient care with 1:3 call; substantially supported by Orthopedic Surgical Nurse Navigators and Ambulatory Care Unit/Physical Rehabilitation teams. Location is at the FHN Family Healthcare Center – Burchard Hills, near Rockford, IL. Competitive initial salary guarantee (MGMA-based) of $750k–$900k, with relocation assistance and sign-on bonus, and comprehensive benefits. Requires MD/DO, board certified or eligible, AGGME residency training, strong teamwork and communication skills; new graduates welcome.
