Job Summary
Orthopaedic Surgeon sought by Mercyhealth System in Freeport, IL to join a collaborative team of physicians with 3 Orthopedic Surgeons and advanced practice professionals. The role supports same-day discharge after total joint surgery, with an Ambulatory Care Unit nursing team and Physical Rehabilitation Team. Schedule is 4 days/week with call at 1:3; practice located at the FHN Family Healthcare Center – Burchard Hills, near Rockford and the broader Northern Illinois/Southern Wisconsin region. Compensation includes a competitive salary guaranteed with production-based model after year one, plus relocation assistance, sign-on bonus, CME, malpractice/licensure coverage, dues, comprehensive benefits, 403(b) match from day one, parental/caregiver leave, and potential eligibility for Federal Loan Forgiveness.
