Job Summary
Conduct pre-trip safety inspections and daily hazard assessments while operating 50T and 90T excavators on large earthworks or mining projects. Maintain equipment condition, log maintenance issues, and complete production reporting. Communicate with team members and follow all site safety protocols. Operate other heavy equipment if required. Work 12-hour days on a two-week on, two-week off rotation with fly-in/fly-out travel. Competitive hourly rate includes overtime pay; flights and accommodations are covered.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience operating 50T & 90T Excavators in a road building, mining, and/or industrial setting
- Previous experience with rotational schedules and remote camp life
- Incorporates HS&E concepts into work activities and demonstrates concern for others health & safety (co-workers, clients, and sub trades)
- Capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment with good safety awareness
- Experience with radio communications and protocols
