Job Summary
Finish detailed excavation scopes, load trucks, and prepare sites for utility installation while adhering to excavation and trenching legislation. Operate equipment safely in close proximity to ground personnel, lower materials to pipe crews using proper rigging mechanisms, and ensure work meets the highest quality standards. Conduct daily equipment inspections and maintain the company's safety program with honesty and integrity. Hourly wage is $42, with opportunities for winter work and less weather-dependent rehabilitation projects.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a finish operator
- Exceptionally safety conscious
- Able to work independently and follow instruction from the superintendent / foreman
- Strong communication skills
- Ground Disturbance Level 2
- CSTS 2020
- WHMIS 2015
Desired Qualifications
- Municipal underground utility experience
- Ability to operate other equipment
