Job Summary
Operate track excavators and related heavy equipment on utility construction sites; perform excavation, material handling, loading/unloading, and rigging; execute deep excavations using trench boxes, shoring systems, and sheeting; maintain safe excavation practices and protect personnel and utilities; conduct daily equipment inspections and follow site safety requirements; work closely with field supervision to complete work safely and efficiently; read plans and adapt to field conditions; heavy physical work and overnight travel required; primarily in Maryland and surrounding areas.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of excavator or heavy equipment operating experience
- Ability to read plans and adapt to field conditions
- Strong safety awareness and team-oriented mindset
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting to 50 lbs.
