Excavator Operator

Job Summary
Operate track excavators to perform rough grade, slope work, borrow material and excavating operations on various projects, including private and NCDOT work. Perform walk-around inspections before and after shifts and be versatile with other heavy equipment. Must understand grade stakes and GPS operation, maintain safety rules and policies, and be a reliable team player with good attendance. MSHA training is required for work in sand pits or mine sites; ability to work long hours and stay productive to meet project goals.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years minimum experience in finish or fine grade operation with an excavator
- MSHA Training to work in sand pits or mine sites
- Ability to understand grade stakes and possible knowledge of GPS operation
- Must be a reliable and trustworthy individual that will be a team player
- Maintain a good attendance and safety record
