Job Summary
Lead and supervise excavation crews performing site grading, mass excavation, and site preparation while planning daily work activities to maximize productivity. Read and interpret grading plans, site plans, and construction drawings to coordinate equipment, manpower, and materials for accurate elevations and finished grades. Operate heavy equipment when necessary, maintain daily production reports, and communicate progress with project management. Enforce safety policies, conduct daily safety discussions, and mentor operators and laborers. Competitive pay of $40-$53/hour with a $6,000 sign-on bonus, plus benefits including 401(k) matching and medical insurance. Requires OSHA 30-Hour certification and experience in excavation or site work.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in a foreman or supervisory role in excavation, site work, or related industry
- Strong knowledge of construction and on-site construction management principles
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- Understanding of GPS and laser-guided layout systems
- Understanding of construction software for daily reporting and documentation
- Understanding of OSHA workplace safety regulations and best practices
