Job Summary

Oversee and participate in all aspects of examination development and delivery, from initial blueprint to technical report for ALS/BLS/performance examinations. Successfully execute project plans for examinations, including content development, administration, test publication, and delivery. Identify examination and item development needs, evaluate process inefficiencies, and recommend improvements to policies, procedures, and workflows. Prioritize, scope, and manage project work for assigned examinations while recruiting and training subject matter experts in accordance with NCCA standards. Collaborate with subject-matter experts, psychometricians, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure examinations are accurate, secure, evidence-based, and reflective of current EMS practices. Monitor examination trends, volumes, pass rates, and other key metrics; prepare reports on examination processes and performance. Investigate and respond to candidate inquiries, item challenges, and suspected security concerns. Requires a four-year degree in clinical health, current paramedic license, and 3–5 years of high-volume EMS experience. Travel up to 10 nights per year.

Required Qualifications

  • 4-year degree in clinical health profession or related field
  • Current or recent state-licensed paramedic
  • 3 – 5 years of high-volume EMS experience
  • Must be able to successfully work in an office environment
  • Must be able to travel up to 10 nights per year

Desired Qualifications

  • 3 – 5 years of experience as an EMS instructor
