Job Summary
The EWP Technical Consultant provides consultation to pro builders and retail distributors both on the phone and at customer locations. This role involves supervising drafters and/or EWP Customer Service Specialists, initiating sales for engineered wood products and accessories, conducting technical training seminars for applicators and location personnel, and managing engineered wood inventory. The Consultant prepares complex CAD and/or hand drawings, converts conventional framing to Boise materials, and demonstrates a commitment to total quality and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- College, vocational, or specialized training/certification or equivalent experience
- Expert knowledge of CAD system
- Blueprint reading and drafting
- Strong math skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of engineering terms and specifications
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of the building materials industry preferred
