Job Summary
EVS Technician PRN performs daily cleaning of patient rooms, restrooms, non-patient areas, and public areas using prescribed cleaning procedures and universal precautions; handles special cleaning requests and adjusts schedule; conducts terminal cleaning to prepare rooms for new patients; uses industrial cleaning agents and equipment following safety procedures; operates Speed Scrub 300, IMOP machines, and vacuums; moves furniture to ensure thorough cleaning; removes trash, bio-hazard materials, dirty linen, and sharp containers; restocks supplies; checks areas for completion; assists with orientation of new employees; provides exemplary customer service; maintains HIPAA compliance and confidentiality; collaborates with staff to meet departmental objectives and infection control policies; demonstrates professionalism, timeliness, and effective communication; performs other duties as assigned; adherence to code of conduct and ongoing training programs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- One year environmental services experience in hospital setting preferred
- Excellent command of English; Spanish bilingual preferred
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment (Speed Scrub 300, IMOP machines) and other office/cleaning tools
