Job Summary
Disinfect patient care areas and common spaces while adhering to proper chemical use, equipment handling, and infection prevention protocols including hand hygiene and PPE donning and doffing. Demonstrate working knowledge of healthcare cleaning principles to maintain a safe, hygienic environment. Perform duties during day shift with flexibility for some weekends and evenings, working approximately 24 hours per week. Requires high school diploma, healthcare support experience preferred, and Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Technician (CHEST) certification.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Healthcare support services and/or environmental services, hospitality or a related field
- Day shift, must have flexibility for some weekends and evenings (approximately 24 hours per week)
- Occasionally (1-33%) - Sitting, stairs
- Frequently (34-66%) - Standing, change position, reaching, reach across midline, handling, fingering, crouching/squatting, stooping, lifting (0-20 lbs), carrying (0-20 lbs), pushing/pulling (20-50 lbs)
- Continuously (37-100%) - must be able to see with corrective eyewear, must be able to hear clearly with assistance
