Job Summary
EVS Technician in Day Shift at a hospital in Norwalk, CA. Responsibilities include conducting complete cleanings of patient and treatment rooms, offices, nursing stations, restrooms, and isolation rooms; terminal cleaning after patient discharge; disinfecting beds; assisting Nursing with moving beds, pulling trash, and flooring care; responding to calls for assigned areas; following the 7-step cleaning procedures and using AIDET in patient communications. Requires strong collaboration, compliance with HIPAA and safety policies, and basic IT system usage; two years of hospital EVS experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Two (2) years hospital EVS experience preferred
- Basic unit/department maintenance
- AIDET in interactions with patients and family members
- Ability to listen, understand, problem-solve, and carry-out duties
- Wears nametag properly; follows dress code policy; answers phone correctly and promptly; is prepared for meetings; meets deadlines; follows HIPAA guidelines
