EVS TECHNICIAN

The EVS Technician performs cleaning of rooms, hallways, and common areas, including stripping and waxing floors with equipment such as high-speed buffer, slow-speed scrubber, auto scrubber, carpet extractor, and vacuums. Responsibilities include daily room cleaning (mopping, dusting, trash removal), maintaining clean utility and entrance areas, moving soiled linen to laundry, following infection control and safety precautions, and reporting supply or equipment shortages. Additional duties include participating in staff in-service training, providing orientation to new employees, floating to other units as assigned, maintaining mandatory skill updates, and complying with policies and regulations. May serve as an interim department leader depending on need. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull up to 250+ pounds, and work under various conditions; High School diploma or GED required; health care setting experience preferred; requires English literacy and basic computer software knowledge.
