Job Summary
Execute daily occupied and discharge/transfer cleaning and disinfection of patient care areas, equipment, and common zones. Adhere to infection prevention protocols, including proper PPE donning and doffing, hand hygiene, and waste stream identification for regulated medical and hazardous materials. Maintain cleaning carts and restock supplies while operating environmental services tools and equipment safely. Participate in departmental performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient experience and cleanliness metrics. Perform specialty tasks such as conference room setup, stairwell and elevator cleaning, and cubicle curtain hanging. Assist with on-boarding of new Environmental Services Technicians.
Required Qualifications
- demonstrating working knowledge of the health care cleaning and disinfecting principles and requirements

- ability to operate and properly maintain all environmental services tools and equipment needed to clean and disinfect the environment
