Job Summary
Perform general housekeeping to meet hospital and Joint Commission standards, including cleaning, disinfecting, proper disposal of infectious waste, and handling emergency spills. Adhere to infection prevention practices, proper PPE use, and OSHA/Joint Commission guidelines. Shift: full-time 40 hrs/wk, 2nd shift, every other weekend and holiday, no on-call. Requires ability to work independently, follow cleaning procedures, use cleaning chemicals correctly, and maintain safe work/storage areas. Prior professional housekeeping experience is preferred; ability to work flexibly to meet department needs. Location: Grand Junction, CO.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated professional housekeeping experience
- Ability to read and follow written and/or verbal directions
- Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed to meet department needs
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Ability to read labels and differentiate color-coded labels/chemicals
