Job Summary
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the Club by dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing facilities including dining areas, locker rooms, and restrooms. Empty trash, sweep patios, and conduct deep-cleaning projects or spot cleaning as assigned. Inspect Club facilities for maintenance issues, submit work orders, and secure buildings after hours. Assist with inventory control, move furniture, transport linens, and stock towels. Attend departmental meetings and required safety training. This role offers flexible scheduling with weekend and holiday rotation. Hands-on shadowing and mentorship with the Director of Environmental Services are included.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to safely use ladders and other equipment required to perform custodial duties
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and handle cleaning chemicals in accordance with established safety procedures
- Position may involve exposure to human blood or other potentially infectious materials; compliance with OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens standards and the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required
- Availability on weekends and holidays on a rotating basis
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year of custodial, housekeeping, janitorial, or related cleaning experience
- Ability to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and attention to detail in a member-focused environment
- Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning products according to established procedures
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing exceptional service to members, guests, and fellow employees
