Job Summary
Clean and sanitize all hospital areas including resident rooms, offices, therapy rooms, lobbies, and hallways using vacuums, mops, shampooers, and other equipment. Perform laundry duties by collecting, sorting, washing, drying, folding, and restocking linens and supplies. Lift up to 20 lbs for two hours while operating washers, dryers, and ladders unsupervised as needed. Follow safety regulations, MSDS, and ergonomic standards while working near patients, families, and potentially hostile individuals. Maintain facility appearance by removing trash, cleaning windows, and working outside buildings when assigned. Read and follow verbal instructions in English to ensure clean, safe, and comfortable district facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to push, lift or apply pressure of up 20 lbs. for up to two hours at a time while performing daily tasks.
- Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset and, at times, hostile individuals within the daily routine of this job.
- Ability to read, write, take verbal instruction in English with reasonable accommodations.
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
