Job Summary
Environmental Services Manager oversees the EVS department's daily operations in hospital facilities, supervising EVS Technicians, assigning work, developing staff schedules, addressing patient and visitor requests, and ensuring cleaning, disinfection, and sanitation standards are met. Responsibilities include planning daily work, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, collaborating with Infection Prevention/Control to evaluate cleaning practices, managing staff interviews, hiring, coaching, and performance evaluations, and monitoring department productivity and budget. Requires proven leadership, strong communication, planning and organizational skills, safety focus, and experience with hospital EHR systems. Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and to operate computer systems, with accommodations as needed. Compensation ranges from $35.10 to $48.38 per hour, with benefits including health, vision, dental, FSA/HSA, 401K with matching, PTO, and other employee programs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate's degree preferred
- Five (5) years’ experience in hospital/long-term care facility/or medical office preferred
- Leadership and/or managerial experience preferred
- Experience/training in computer applications, including Electronic Health Record Software preferred
- American Hospital Association certifications in Environmental Services management or equivalent preferred
