Job Summary
Direct and oversee all housekeeping, environmental services, and laundry functions throughout the nursing facility. Hire, train, supervise, schedule, and evaluate staff while developing departmental policies, procedures, and quality control standards. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, OSHA regulations, and CMS guidelines by conducting routine inspections and maintaining proper handling of laundry and hazardous materials. Manage the department budget, supply procurement, and inventory control. Coordinate with nursing and dietary departments to meet resident care needs and respond to resident and family concerns. Prepare required reports, logs, and documentation for QAPI and survey readiness. This role requires prior EVS management experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility, bilingual skills, and proficiency in scheduling and budgeting.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in EVS/Housekeeping/Laundry management within a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
- Minimum 2–3 years of supervisory or director-level experience in environmental services
- Experience in a long-term care or post-acute setting
- Strong knowledge of infection control, sanitation standards, and regulatory compliance in a SNF environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage, motivate, and lead a team
- Proficiency in scheduling, budgeting, and inventory management
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
