Job Summary
Cleans assigned areas in a hospital setting by washing furniture, tile, fixtures, and equipment with germicidal cleaning solutions; cleans walls, doors, frames, ceilings, televisions, and windows; makes patient beds, sweeps/mops floors, vacuums; cleans in outpatient and sterile processing per procedures; completes scheduled procedures without compromising quality, reports unfinished tasks, collects waste and soiled linen, handles hazardous waste per Infection Control standards; climbs ladders to reach high areas, arranges furniture for meetings and community events; requires ability to lift 50 pounds, read simple instructions, perform basic arithmetic, and follow OSHA/CDC PPE and SDS practices; 90-day probationary period.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to read and understand simple verbal and written instructions
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations
- Ability to comply with OSHA regulations and CDC standard and transmission-based precaution recommendations and to utilize proper personal protective equipment
- Ability to comply with provisions of applicable S.D.S. forms
