Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive housekeeping and laundry duties for resident apartments and common areas, including dusting, disinfecting surfaces, mopping floors, and vacuuming carpets. Wash, dry, and fold resident linens, drapes, and personal clothing, then deliver clean items to residents. Refill paper products, empty trash, and maintain cleanliness in nursing stations, hallways, and utility rooms. Perform detailed cleaning as directed and ensure laundry machines operate consistently. Requires 3–6 months of housekeeping or laundry experience, ability to follow checklist schedules, and strong customer service skills. Physical demands include moderate to heavy lifting, constant standing, and frequent exposure to chemicals.
Required Qualifications
- 3 –6 months experience in housekeeping and/or laundry procedures
- Ability to complete tasks from a checklist operation schedule
- Must be able to read, write and speak the English language
- Must possess excellent customer service skills
- Moderate to heavy physical activity required by exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 45 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 22 pounds of force constantly
- Constant standing, walking, and grasping
- Frequent stooping and reaching above shoulder heights, occasional sitting, crawling, kneeling, and squatting
- Frequent exposure to chemicals
- May have exposure to blood borne pathogens, body excretions and communicable diseases possible
- Is subject to frequent interruptions
- Interacts with residents, family members, visitors frequently
- Tuesday through Saturday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
