Job Summary
Vacuum, spot clean, and perform specialized floor care tasks including stripping, scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and shampooing carpets in residents' rooms, hallways, and dining areas. Assist with moving furniture, relocating residents' rooms, and maintaining outdoor courtyards while ensuring compliance with infection control guidelines and HIPAA privacy rules. Report environmental deficiencies, safety hazards, and equipment issues immediately, and participate in mandatory training and annual HIPAA sessions. Work various shifts including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed in a healthcare setting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in floor care or environmental services
- Experience in a healthcare setting
- Ability to read and write
- Ability to work independently in the absence of supervisor
- Strong attention to detail
- Adherence to safety protocols
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to bend, stoop, pull, and lift at least 60 pounds
- Ability to operate floor care machines and equipment
- Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
