Job Summary
EVS Associate Overnight at Banner University Medical Center - South Tucson leads cleaning of patient rooms and assigned areas to ensure a clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment. Responsibilities include dusting, mopping, scrubbing, disinfecting, vacuuming, sterilization of procedural rooms, stocking supplies, managing waste, and providing excellent patient and staff service. Must follow department policies, maintain infection control standards, and work a full-time overnight schedule (11pm-7:30am) with weekend rotations and holiday coverage. Training occurs during a two-week schedule; the role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to safety protocols, and delivering a high standard of cleanliness in a complex hospital setting.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team without continuous supervision
- Interpret and respond to verbal and written instructions
- Effective communication by phone and verbally
- Able to read and understand material safety data sheets and instructions for cleaning chemicals
- Ability to fill out chemical identification stickers
- Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card (where applicable at hiring)
- Arizona Criminal History Affidavit (upon hire)
- Commitment to infection control and safety procedures
- Previous related experience and familiarity with environmental services equipment and cleaning techniques is preferred
