Job Summary
EVS Associate at Kalamazoo, Part Time (64hr/pp, 1p-9:30p) at Bronson Methodist Hospital. Under supervision of environmental services manager, performs cleaning of patient rooms (occupied and unoccupied), public and surgical areas, stocking supplies, and maintaining equipment. Provides service to internal and external customers; adheres to regulatory requirements; works with a variety of duties including operating room and special area cleaning, and may operate cleaning machinery. Requires ability to communicate in English, strong customer service, time management, and the physical ability to perform lifting and movement of supplies; may require Michigan driver’s license. High school diploma/GED not required for this position. Part-time schedule with shift details as listed; includes potential for bonuses as described in posting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED not required
- Michigan driver's license and insurability may be required
- Must be able to communicate in English (at or above 8th grade level)
- Must possess interpersonal skills and provide excellent customer service
- Must be able to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, and use PPE as required
- Experience with cleaning in healthcare environments and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Knowledge of CDC/OSHA/EPA/Joint Commission standards is preferred
