Job Summary
Select cleaning materials, prepare chemicals, and load carts to transport supplies to assigned areas. Wash furniture, tile, fixtures, and equipment with germicidal solutions, focusing on high-touch surfaces like door knobs, handrails, and televisions. Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors; spot clean carpets; and arrange furniture and equipment in an orderly fashion. Operate mechanical and electrical cleaning equipment, including climbing ladders to hang drapes, and collect regular and hazardous waste from all areas. Clean isolation rooms during patient stays and following discharge, and clean operating suites using prescribed solutions. Report safety hazards and equipment needing repair to the manager, and ensure all carts and equipment are cleaned and restocked.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Must be vaccinated against COVID-19
- Must receive a booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine
- Must complete a background check
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent, preferred
- Minimum Experience: Some work related experience preferred but willing to train
- Previous experience preferred
