Job Summary
EVS Associate – 16 hr/wk with 3rd shift (10:30 PM–7:00 AM) at Bronson South Haven. Under supervision of Environmental Services Manager, responsibilities include cleaning patient rooms (occupied/unoccupied), public and surgical areas, stocking supplies, and maintaining equipment while complying with infection-control standards and regulatory requirements. Roles involve frequent movement and lifting up to 50 pounds, operation of environmental equipment, and delivering excellent customer service to patients and staff. Requires English communication at or above 8th-grade level; Michigan driver’s license may be required. Required Qualifications
- Under supervision of the environmental services manager, maintains environmental and infection control standards within established policies and procedures of the health care facility.
- Assignments include cleaning of patient rooms (occupied/unoccupied), public areas, surgical areas; stocking of supplies; cleaning/maintaining equipment.
- Adheres to regulatory requirements and follows standard practices and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and communicate in English (at or above 8th grade level) with staff and clients.
- Physical requirements: ability to lift up to 50 pounds; standing, walking, stairs; use of PPE.
- May operate environmental equipment like iMop, vacuums, scrubbers; may involve exposure to risk of injury from electrical equipment.
- Complies with HIPAA and confidentiality requirements.
- Job shift: 3rd shift (1030p-7:00a); part-time 16 hours/week; potential for additional duties as assigned.
