Job Summary
Oversee cleanliness across all casino areas and public spaces, excluding F&B zones, while managing wardrobe operations and inventory. Hire, train, and evaluate supervisory staff; develop and maintain sanitation standards; and ensure OSHA compliance and safe chemical storage. Monitor expenses, approve payroll, and coordinate uniform needs with department managers. Maintain cyclical cleaning programs, track work orders, and research equipment replacements. Schedule staff to meet business needs and adhere to a 24-hour rotation. Complete required SGC training within nine months and attend all necessary meetings.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associates degree or equivalent work experience
- At least five (5) years of Environmental Services management experience in a high traffic, large facility
- Overseeing a team no less than 10
- Proficient with proper use of all cleaning equipment and chemicals, including heavy cleaning equipment
- Equipment knowledge and some troubleshooting ability
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to write routine correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees
- Ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
- Demonstrate leadership, fairness and sensibility to the customers and employees
- Ability to instill a sense of pride and personal responsibility in subordinate employees
- Adequate manual dexterity to operate cleaning equipment
- Ability to properly dilute, use and insure safety of cleaning chemicals
- Ability to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the casino
- Physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment
- Ability to effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and members of the business community
- Must be able to work in an environment where smoking is permitted
- Must complete all required SGC Training programs within nine (9) months from commencement of employment
- Attend all necessary meetings
