Job Summary
Develop and implement Acclaim Physician Group's mission and strategic plan while overseeing operations of the medical group and hospital-based physician practices. Ensure financial viability by optimizing revenue opportunities, managing third-party payor contracts, and making significant financial improvements in employed physician practices. Direct all lines of business, including staffing assessments, credentialing, documentation, coding, and quality improvement initiatives, to meet cost, quality, and clinical standards. Represent the group in relationships with government agencies, third-party payers, and other health organizations, serving as a liaison between system leadership and medical group colleagues. Lead the Medical Staff and system, promote physician involvement in governance, and mitigate outmigration by cultivating advantageous referral patterns.
Required Qualifications
- Current Medical Doctor (M.D) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree from an accredited school of medicine
- Minimum of five years of increasingly responsible administrative experience in physician leadership roles
- Medical degree with appropriate residency training within specialty
- Board certification or board eligible with valid medical license
- Master's Degree (MBA, MHA)
- Demonstrated track record of a progressive leadership experience in a multi-specialty medical group
- Track record of creative problem solving and innovation within your field of expertise that demonstrates vision, follow-through, and ethical decision making
- Highly skilled in physician practice management
- Deep experience in operations
- Deep experience in finance
- Deep experience in quality/safety
- Deep experience in physician recruitment and retention
- Deep experience in physician compensation
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment
- Demonstrated track record successfully leading an organization through tremendous change and integration
- Outstanding relationship skills
- Ability to collaboratively partner with senior hospital and system executives, board members, and outside constituents
