eVolv Access Control Security Associate

eVolv Access Control Security Associate at the International African American Museum (IAAM) responsible for operating the eVolv Express weapons-detection system, screening guests, conducting interior/exterior patrols, and maintaining a secure, welcoming environment. Duties include monitoring access control equipment, screening all entrants, verifying identifications and credentials, performing secondary screenings, managing visitor flow, assisting with wayfinding and ADA accommodations, observing for suspicious behavior, responding to incidents, coordinating with first responders, completing DARs and incident documentation, and supporting crowd management during events. Requires calm under pressure, strong communication, and the ability to work in a dynamic museum setting; minimum qualifications include a SC SLED Unarmed Security License, a High School Diploma or GED, weekend/evening/holiday availability, CPR/AED/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain), physical ability to stand/walk/patrol for extended periods, basic computer skills, and a professional demeanor. Preferred qualifications include prior security or customer service experience and familiarity with access control or weapons-detection systems.
