Job Summary
Software Architect to lead design and technical strategy for scalable, secure business management and financial software platforms. Responsibilities include architecting scalable and maintainable systems, translating business requirements into technical roadmaps, modernizing legacy .NET applications to modular .NET 8 with GraphQL and cloud-native architectures (AWS, ECS/EKS), defining API design, database modeling, caching, and performance optimization, mentoring development teams, and driving DevOps/CI/CD and IaC standards. Required expertise includes 10+ years of software development with 3+ years in architecture/lead roles, strong C#/.NET Core, SQL Server/T-SQL, Angular, EF, TDD, and multi-tenant cloud design; nice-to-haves include GraphQL, OpenTelemetry, AWS/Azure DevOps, Docker, Terraform, Power BI, and ERP/financial domain knowledge. This is a fully remote, US-based position with potential travel to North American offices; eligible to work without sponsorship is required.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of professional software development experience
- At least 3+ years in a software architecture or lead engineering role
- Deep expertise in C#/.NET Core (7 or 8) and enterprise application design patterns
- Strong understanding of SQL Server, T-SQL, stored procedures, and database performance tuning
- Proven experience in Angular, with front-end integration and API design knowledge
- Proficiency in Entity Framework, asynchronous programming, and test-driven development (TDD)
- Experience designing multi-tenant, high-availability, scalable cloud environments
- Ability to translate complex business workflows, especially around financial management, accounting, and ERP systems, into robust software architectures
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
