Job Summary
Lead the planning and execution of hotel events, including conference and banquet operations. Responsibilities include monthly forecasting and annual budgeting, improving meeting planner satisfaction, optimizing room rental charges, re-booking repeat business, coordinating with banquet and chef on menus and pricing, managing AV as a profit center, vendor coordination, site inspections, client presentations, and delivering innovative event setups. Requires strong hospitality experience, catering sales knowledge, budgeting and forecasting capabilities, and proficiency with Word, Excel, and Delphi.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one year within the Hospitality Industry required
- Experience at a similar size and quality hotel
- Must possess computer skills including Word, Excel, Delphi
- Knowledge of sales skills, revenue management, training, and motivation of peers
- Knowledge of hotel features, benefits, and competing hotels within the market
- Ability to execute action plans
- Knowledge of hotel operations, marketing plans, security and safety programs, and long-range planning
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work under time constraints and deadlines
- Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences
