Job Summary
Lead the front-of-house service team throughout events, ensuring a seamless and exceptional guest experience from beginning to end. Act as the on-site representative of the venue, overseeing all aspects of service execution including timing, food quality, presentation, and coordination of the service team. Greet guests upon arrival, proactively anticipate their needs, and clearly communicate dietary restrictions, allergies, and special guest preferences to the kitchen and service teams. Ensure event spaces are fully prepared, well-presented, and maintained throughout service with a strong focus on cleanliness and flow. Make timely, effective decisions in response to evolving guest needs or event changes while maintaining composure under pressure. Work closely with the Banquet Manager by following direction, supporting execution, and contributing feedback for continuous improvement. Carry out additional duties as assigned to support the successful execution of each event.
Required Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience in banquet, catering, restaurant, or other high-volume hospitality environments
- A strong natural ability to engage with guests and consistently deliver exceptional hospitality
- Excellent communication skills with confidence interacting with guests, colleagues, and leadership teams
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm, focused, and effective in fast-paced, high-pressure situations
- A guest-focused mindset with a genuine passion for creating memorable experiences
- Leadership capability with the ability to guide, support, or step into a supervisory role when required
- A polished and professional appearance and demeanor appropriate for upscale and formal events
- Smart Serve Certification (required)
- Availability and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and event-driven schedules
- A positive, dependable attitude with a willingness to assist wherever needed to support the team
Desired Qualifications
- Valid G Driver's Licence an asset
