Job Summary
Coordinate event production materials, assist with creative activations and post-event reporting, and support speaker prep and technical assistance for virtual events. Help with venue scouting, walkthroughs, and staffing for in-person events while managing research projects. Assist other departments as needed and provide logistical support during peak periods like elections, which may require evening and weekend availability. This role offers hands-on experience in organizational management and financial analysis within a full-service event management firm serving Fortune 500 companies and nonprofits.
Required Qualifications
- Interest in a career in event planning, progressive issue-based advocacy, logistics, and/or operations
- Hospitality, events, and/or customer service background
- Strong organizational abilities
- Eagerness to learn and willingness to ask questions
- Resourceful attitude and keen attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Experience in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is a must
- Professional phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Well-organized with an eye for detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels
- Ability to work well under minimal supervision
- Ability to work on multiple projects at one time in an efficient manner
- Ability to work in a high-energy environment
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Available to work overtime and weekends
- Ability to travel locally for meetings and events as needed
- Assisting your team during certain evenings and weekends, especially during peak periods like elections, may be required
