Events and Sponsorship Manager

Job Summary

Manage all facets of designated fundraising, cultivation, and programmatic events from inception through completion, ensuring seamless attendee experiences. Research and secure corporate sponsors, prepare proposals and contracts, and track obligations to increase sponsorship revenues. Oversee event timelines, budgets, vendor negotiations, and post-event financial reconciliation while supervising support team tasks. Develop new event concepts to drive revenue and maintain relationships with internal staff, partners, and stakeholders. Coordinate logistics for the high-profile Global Gala and utilize Salesforce CRM to manage guest lists and donations. Proactively introduce tools to enhance event performance and deliver strategic messaging aligned with the charity's mission.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in planning and executing a diverse range of events
  • Demonstrated success securing and managing event sponsorships up to $50,000
  • Arrive in role with existing strong industry vendor relationships you will leverage (venues, catering, AV, florists, décor, etc.)
  • Comprehensive organizational abilities including project management and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and details efficiently and accurately
  • Proven ability to plan, manage and execute multiple events simultaneously
  • Ability to brainstorm and implement innovative event concepts aligned with our brand and mission
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with internal and external partners, senior leadership, vendors and guests
  • Calm presence, strong voice, and able to operate in high-stress situations
  • Ability to problem-solve, manage conflicting priorities, handle challenging personalities, and the ability to adapt to changes during events
  • Proficiency in budget planning and management, ensuring events are cost-effective and meet or exceed agreed ROI
  • Experience in successfully negotiating contracts and agreements with vendors and sponsors
  • Comfortable working with range of software and tools used to deliver events
  • Must be flexible and willing to work irregular and/or extended hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules
  • Ability to travel within the United States is essential
  • The full-time role is in our New York office at least four (4) days a week with flexibility over the summer and holiday periods
  • This position necessitates a commitment to adhering to company policies outlined in the employee handbook and internal communications
