Job Summary
Volunteer Events and Ministry Coordinator in Sandy Springs, GA, plans and hosts 2 events per month for apartment-resident communities, provides personal outreach and hospitality, develops marketing materials, manages event budgets, engages residents online, and coordinates with volunteers, vendors, and community partners to maximize impact. The role involves visiting new residents, building relationships, and weaving business-like operations with ministry-focused mission, requiring English fluency, a valid driver’s license with insurance, ability to lift up to 25 pounds, and availability to work mainly in evenings and weekends. Location is onsite at the apartment community in Sandy Springs, GA.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Be legally eligible to work in the United States
- Have basic fluency in English to compose marketing elements for the community and required reports for the property management company
- Possess a current driver's license and liability insurance, and access to a form of reliable transportation to complete coordinator duties such as shopping for events and connecting with vendors
- Be physically able to use stairs, bend, sit, stand, stoop, and carry up to 25 pounds
- Have the availability to commit weekly hours to perform job responsibilities, mainly in the evenings and weekends when most residents are home
- Be able to make the minimum term commitment to serving in the apartment community
- Previous event planning experience
- Experience working within a budget
- Some relevant experience using social media
- Have a network of support through potential volunteers, vendors, or community partners
