Events and Ministry Coordinator (Onsite, Volunteer)

Job Summary
Plan and host two monthly events for residents to connect with one another and with local services or businesses; provide a caring touch to residents and staff with a network of community support; enhance online reputation by inviting residents to share their experiences; develop marketing materials (calendars, flyers, social posts); manage event budgets and prepare monthly summaries; collaborate with staff and program director for planning and development; engage volunteers, vendors, and community partners to maximize impact; visit new residents after move-in or those near lease expiration to build connections; requires 18+, legal eligibility to work in the U.S., English fluency, a valid driver’s license and transportation, ability to lift up to 25 pounds, and availability for evening/weekend hours; volunteers-focused role with an onsite assignment.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Be legally eligible to work in the United States
- Have basic fluency in English to compose marketing elements for the community and required reports for the property management company
- Possess a current driver’s license and liability insurance, and access to reliable transportation
- Be physically able to use stairs, bend, sit, stand, stoop, and carry up to 25 pounds
- Have the availability to commit weekly hours to perform job responsibilities, mainly in the evenings and weekends when most residents are home
- Be able to make the minimum term commitment to serving in the apartment community
- Previous event planning experience (preferred)
- Experience working within a budget (preferred)
- Some relevant experience using social media (preferred)
- Have a network of support through potential volunteers, vendors, or community partners (preferred)
