Job Summary
Plan and host two monthly events for residents to foster connection and community engagement. Develop marketing materials including calendars, flyers, and social media posts to enhance the online reputation. Manage the event budget and prepare monthly summaries while meeting with staff for planning and development. Visit new and lease-expiring residents to offer personal connection and support. Engage volunteers, vendors, and community partners to maximize impact. This volunteer role offers significantly reduced housing costs through the Apartment Life program, requiring weekly availability in evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Basic fluency in English
- Current driver's license
- Liability insurance
- Access to a form of reliable transportation
- Physical ability to use stairs, bend, sit, stand, stoop, and carry up to 25 pounds
- Availability to commit weekly hours to perform job responsibilities, mainly in the evenings and weekends
- Ability to make the minimum term commitment to serving in the apartment community
Desired Qualifications
- Previous event planning experience
- Experience working within a budget
