Job Summary
Events and Ministry Coordinator (Onsite, Volunteer) will plan and host two resident events per month within an apartment community, provide personal connection and hospitality, develop marketing materials and social content, manage event budgets and monthly summaries, and collaborate with staff, volunteers, vendors, and partners. The role focuses on relational engagement, planning social activities, and weaving business-like coordination with ministry-oriented service, aiming to connect residents to one another and to local services while embodying the organization’s mission. Must be 18+, legally eligible to work in the U.S., fluent in English, have a valid driver’s license and insurance, be physically capable of handling typical event duties (stairs, bending, standing, lifting up to 25 pounds), and commit to weekly evening/weekend hours. Previous event planning, budgeting, and social media experience are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Be legally eligible to work in the United States
- Have basic fluency in English to compose marketing elements for the community and required reports for the property management company
- Possess a current driver's license and liability insurance, and access to a form of reliable transportation to complete coordinator duties such as shopping for events and connecting with vendors
- Be physically able to use stairs, bend, sit, stand, stoop, and carry up to 25 pounds
- Have the availability to commit weekly hours to perform job responsibilities, mainly in the evenings and weekends when most residents are home
- Be able to make the minimum term commitment to serving in the apartment community
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous event planning experience
- Experience working within a budget
- Some relevant experience using social media
- Have a network of support through potential volunteers, vendors, or community partners
