Job Summary
Plan and host two monthly events for residents to foster connection and community engagement. Develop marketing materials including calendars, flyers, and social media posts to enhance the online reputation. Manage the event budget process and prepare monthly summaries while visiting new and departing residents to offer personal care. Engage a support team of volunteers and vendors to maximize impact and meet with staff for planning and development. This volunteer role offers significantly reduced housing costs through a monthly program fee, with availability mainly in evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Be legally eligible to work in the United States
- Have basic fluency in English to compose marketing elements for the community and required reports for the property management company
- Possess a current driver's license and liability insurance, and access to a form of reliable transportation to complete coordinator duties such as shopping for events and connecting with vendors
- Be physically able to use stairs, bend, sit, stand, stoop, and carry up to 25 pounds
- Have the availability to commit weekly hours to perform job responsibilities, mainly in the evenings and weekends when most residents are home
- Be able to make the minimum term commitment to serving in the apartment community
Desired Qualifications
- Previous event planning experience
- Experience working within a budget
- Some relevant experience using social media
