Job Summary
Events and Ministry Coordinators plan and host 2 events each month for residents in the apartment community, aiming to care for and connect residents, connect them to each other and to local services or businesses. They provide a caring touch to residents and staff, enhance online reputation by inviting resident feedback, develop marketing materials (monthly calendars, event flyers, social posts), manage the event budget, prepare monthly summaries, coordinate with staff and the program director, engage volunteers, vendors, and community partners, and visit new residents or those nearing lease ends to foster connection. The role emphasizes mission-minded, relational, and responsible coordination, blending business with ministry, and requires availability evenings and weekends. We welcome those with prior event planning experience, budgeting experience, social media familiarity, and existing networks of volunteers or partners.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Be legally eligible to work in the United States
- Have basic fluency in English to compose marketing elements and required reports
- Possess a current driver's license and liability insurance, and access to reliable transportation
- Be physically able to use stairs, bend, sit, stand, stoop, and carry up to 25 pounds
- Availability to commit weekly hours, mainly evenings and weekends
- Be able to make the minimum term commitment to serving in the apartment community
- Preferred qualifications: Previous event planning experience, Experience with budgeting, Some experience using social media, Networking with potential volunteers or vendors
