Job Summary
Events and Ministry Coordinator plans and hosts monthly events for residents in the apartment community, builds and maintains relationships with residents and staff, enhances online reputation, develops marketing materials (calendars, flyers, social posts), manages event budget and monthly summaries, and collaborates with staff and volunteers to maximize impact. The role emphasizes planning social activities, relational engagement, and mission-driven service within the Apartment Life program; requires 18+ eligibility to work in the United States, English fluency for marketing and reporting, a valid driver’s license and transportation, ability to lift up to 25 pounds, and availability for weekly evening/weekend hours.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Be legally eligible to work in the United States
- Have basic fluency in English to compose marketing elements for the community and required reports for the property management company
- Possess a current driver's license and liability insurance, and access to a form of reliable transportation to complete coordinator duties such as shopping for events and connecting with vendors
- Be physically able to use stairs, bend, sit, stand, stoop, and carry up to 25 pounds
- Have the availability to commit weekly hours to perform job responsibilities, mainly in the evenings and weekends when most residents are home
- Be able to make the minimum term commitment to serving in the apartment community
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous event planning experience, Experience working within a budget, Some relevant experience using social media
- Have a network of support through potential volunteers, vendors, or community partners
