Job Summary
Events and Ministry Coordinator (Offsite, Part-Time) supports Apartment Life's Resident Services by executing the service plan for a Houston community. The role schedules and hosts 2-3 resident events/workshops monthly focused on social engagement, wellness, health, enrichment, and stability; develops monthly resource lists for rent/food assistance and other needs; connects residents with local resources; partners with community businesses for holistic activities; communicates with onsite staff and supervisor; and submits monthly reports on activities and impact. The position is 12 hours per week, afternoons/evenings, with hourly pay of $21, located in Houston, TX.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Be legally eligible to work in the United States
- Bachelor's Degree or related experience in event planning, social impact, or human services
- Excellent listening/communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to provide after-hours or weekend activities as needed
- Basic computer skills
- Basic fluency in English to compose marketing elements for the community and required reports
- Possess a current driver's license and liability insurance, and access to reliable transportation
- Be physically able to use stairs, bend, sit, stand, stoop, and carry up to 25 pounds
- Availability to commit weekly hours to perform job responsibilities, mainly in the evenings and weekends
- Be able to make the minimum term commitment to serving in the apartment community
