Job Summary
Events and Ministry Coordinator (Offsite, Part-Time) plans and hosts residents’ events and workshops for a Senior Adult community in Saginaw, TX, coordinating with the Apartment Life supervisor to execute the service plan, develop monthly programming, connect residents to resources (rent/food assistance and other needs), and partner with local businesses to provide holistic activities. Responsibilities include planning 2-3 events per month, updating monthly resource lists, meeting with residents to provide support, coordinating with onsite staff and supervisor, submitting monthly activity/impact reports, and hosting educational events for adults and youth. Requires 18+, U.S. work eligibility, Bachelor’s or related experience in event planning/human services, strong communication skills, after-hours/weekend availability, basic computer skills, English fluency for marketing/reports, valid driver’s license and insurance, transportation, ability to lift up to 25 pounds, and weekly evening/weekend availability.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Be legally eligible to work in the United States
- Bachelor's Degree or related experience in event planning, social impact, or human services
- Excellent listening/communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to provide after-hours or weekend activities as needed
- Basic computer skills
- Basic fluency in English to compose marketing elements for the community and required reports
- Possess a current driver's license and liability insurance, and access to a form of reliable transportation to complete coordinator duties such as shopping for events and connecting with vendors
- Be physically able to use stairs, bend, sit, stand, stoop, and carry up to 25 pounds
- Have the availability to commit weekly hours to perform job responsibilities, mainly in the evenings and weekends when most residents are home
- Be able to make the minimum term commitment to serving in the apartment community
