Job Summary
Events and Ministry Coordinator for one apartment community in Tualatin, OR. Part-time role (8 hours/week) responsible for executing the service plan through resident events and programming, including 2 Kid's Clubs on weekdays after 3:30pm–5pm and 1 community event for all residents. Work with corporate/government/nonprofit partners to develop programs, organize educational workshops for adults and youth, meet with residents to provide support and connect them with resources, share information on rental/food/assistance programs, ensure smooth program operations, communicate with onsite staff, and provide monthly activity/impact reports. Requires planning monthly activity schedules, outreach strategies to promote social engagement and wellness, and ability to commit to weekday evenings/weekends. Must be 18+, eligible to work in the U.S., hold a Bachelor’s degree or related experience in event planning, excellent communication skills, after-hours availability, basic computer skills, English proficiency for marketing and reporting, and a valid driver’s license with transportation access. Physical ability to use stairs and lift up to 25 pounds. Bilingual Spanish preferred; experience in event planning, working within a budget, and building networks of volunteers/vendors is preferred. Location noted: Tualatin, Oregon, United States.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Be legally eligible to work in the United States
- Bachelor's Degree or related experience in event planning, social impact, or human services
- Excellent listening/communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to provide after-hours or weekend activities as needed
- Basic computer skills
- Basic fluency in English to compose marketing elements for the community and required reports
- Possess a current driver's license and liability insurance, and access to a form of reliable transportation to complete coordinator duties such as shopping for events and connecting with vendors
- Be physically able to use stairs, bend, sit, stand, stoop, and carry up to 25 pounds
- Have the availability to commit weekly hours to perform job responsibilities, mainly in the evenings and weekends when most residents are home
- Be able to make the minimum term commitment to serving in the apartment community
